Hopestead welcomes new fundraising manager
Hopestead is proud and excited to welcome its new Fundraising Manager, Chris Elliott, into the team.
In his role, Chris’ primary focus will be generating funding for Hope at Home, one of our primary initiatives. Hope at Home provides essential furniture, flooring, and appliances to people moving into homes owned by housing provider Flagship from a route of homelessness.
By raising more money for this project, we’ll be able to address the growing demand and continue to ensure more people have the essentials they need to make a house a home when they move in.
Chris comes to us after 12 years in the charity sector in the region in marketing and fundraising roles at The Benjamin Foundation and most recently The Feed.
Prior to this work, he also spent over two decades at Aviva in marketing roles.
He also expressed his huge motivation to make a difference through his work with Hopestead, saying: “I was listening to a call from one of my colleagues just yesterday and someone was moving in literally with no food and only the clothes they were wearing.
“It can be as extreme as that, so that’s my big motivator for fundraising; I know it’s going to help people.”
