Our impact
Breaking the cycle of homelessness and creating lasting change.

At Hopestead, we’re not just responding to homelessness—we’re working to break the cycle for good.
Every year, we help people transition from homelessness into secure, sustainable homes, provide vital support to charities tackling homelessness, and advocate for long-term change. Our impact is tangible, life-changing, and growing every year. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve achieved through our four main initiatives since we were established in 2020.
My children are happier and sleeping better. We are now a proper family unit. My kids are so house proud now and are always inviting people round.

Hope at Home: Turning houses into homes
A home is more than four walls—it’s a foundation for stability and a fresh start. In the last year alone:
- 418 people in 239 households received essential furniture, flooring, and appliances to help them settle in.
- 154 children were supported, ensuring they had a safe and comfortable place to live.
- 88 households received emergency beds and appliances to bridge the gap before their permanent items arrived.
- 97% of people sustained their tenancy, showing how vital this support is for long-term stability.
Hope Funds: Empowering organisations to do more
We believe collaboration is key to ending homelessness. Through Hope Funds, we:
- Supported 19 organisations with £176,778 in funding.
- Helped over 12,000 people access services, support, and housing solutions.
- Enabled charities to trial new approaches and expand their reach.
Building Hope: Increasing homelessness accommodation
Safe, secure housing is fundamental to breaking the cycle of homelessness. This year, we:
- Opened Hopestead Place, two modular homes in Ipswich, in partnership with Emmaus and New Meaning Foundation.
- Provided transitional housing for people moving out of homelessness, giving them time and support to regain independence.
- Won a Housing Digital Award for innovation in housebuilding, recognising our forward-thinking approach.
Voice of Hope: Raising awareness and driving change
Ending homelessness isn’t just about direct support—it’s about changing the conversation. With Voice of Hope, we:
- Launched a new campaign to highlight the realities of homelessness and push for policy change.
- Engaged with politicians and policymakers to advocate for better housing solutions.
- Used real stories to challenge misconceptions and build public support for meaningful change.
The demand for our services continues to grow, and so does our impact. We’re committed to expanding our support, developing new partnerships, and driving forward innovative solutions. Because everyone deserves a place to call home.
Our reports
We publish an annual impact report to showcase the difference our work makes. They go beyond simple statistics to tell the human stories behind our programmes and show how our efforts translate into meaningful change for the people we support. Our latest report can be found here: Hopestead impact report 2024-2025 and previous years' reports can be found below.

Making a lasting difference
At Hopestead, impact isn’t just about what we do—it’s about the change we create. Every home we help furnish, every organisation we fund, and every policy we influence brings us closer to ending homelessness for good.
Over the past year, we’ve seen first-hand how small interventions can have life-changing effects. A family moving into a safe, fully equipped home can focus on work and education instead of just survival. A charity receiving our support can expand its reach, helping thousands more people access food, shelter, and advice. A new housing solution, like Hopestead Place, can offer someone a crucial stepping stone out of homelessness.
We also know that sustainable change requires more than just immediate support. That’s why we continue to challenge perceptions, push for better policies, and work with partners who share our vision. By combining direct action with long-term solutions, we’re creating a future where fewer people face homelessness in the first place.
The need for our work is growing, but so is our determination. We’re listening, learning, and evolving to ensure we make the greatest possible impact. With the right support and the right partnerships, we believe we can end homelessness together.
Because everyone deserves a place to call home.
